In addition to resolving DNS requests, it blocks ads, trackers, and malicious domains. Not a quick fix, but report the ads via the AdGuard reporting tool in-app. From there they may be able to work on a solution. Twitch is pushing back against ad blocking users on the platform. For now it urges them to disable ad blockers, just like YouTube once did.
